Since each of us has a different story to share, you can click on the tabs above to read each. But in summary.....
If I were to make a list of things I'm thankful for here at the close of 2011, that would be a very long list, indeed. One of the biggest would be God's protection of our lives, our home, and at least some of our farm ground during the flood, of course! But also we're very thankful for our friends and family, and this year certainly was a testimony to how dear friends and family can be. From helping us "move" on an absolute spur of the moment, to helping us with meals (us making meals for others and others making meals for us!), to countless offers to let us stay in a basement or just plain move in if we were forced out of our house, to who-knows-how-many prayers offered up on our behalf...this year has been very humbling in MANY ways, but none more than realizing the lengths to which these people will go for us. So if you were any part of that in any way, we thank you. Truly. And I'd say learning this lesson was sincerely the best part of the whole year, hands down.
